The Residents' Committee (RC) in public housing estate promote neighbourliness, racial harmony and community cohesiveness among the residents within the zone. Run by residents for residents, the RC also work closely with other grassroots organisations like the CCC and selected government agencies to improve the physical environment and safety of the local precint.

Residents of Blk 289A Bukit Batok Street 25 were excited and joyous to stand by at the door with open heart to welcome a very special guest visit on 23 June 2009 at 8pm. Residents were honoured to have Mdm Halimah Yacob, MP for Jurong GRC and Adviser to Jurong GRC GROs who had made time for them. During the visit, Mdm Halimah sincerely gathered valuable feedbacks in regards to their welfare and state of living. House visits also serve as a bridge and platform to bring the MP and Grassroots Leaders closer to the residents.
