Grassroots leaders effectively help new immigrants integrate

PA started the Integration and Naturalisation Champions (INC) in 2007 to have Grassroot Leaders connect with new immigrants in the estate. They had mainly conducted house visits and invited new immigrants to participate in community activities and festival celebrations to help them integrate. Besides doing the above, Bukit Batok East INC Mr Ronnie Tan, PBM, together with the Nature View RC had also been helping new immigrants to integrated to the community through weekly football interest group which was held on every Sunday at Yusof Ishak Secondary School Field.

Lian He Zao Bao had published an article on how the Bukit Batok East INC efforts on new immigrants through its weekly football interest Group dated 15 September 2010.
